If she's interested, most now believe that Kristen Stewart is perfect to play the lead role in "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo".However, thus far, she apparently hasn't showed much interest in doing it.
Among those already in the running are such actresses as Ellen Page, Mia Wasikowska, Carey Mulligan, Emily Browning and Rooney Mara.
Critics have been saying for months now that this would be a major step up in acting for Stewart, maybe toward the Oscars, should Stewart get the role and do a great job.
"I can't see why she would pass up this opportunity", stated critic Byron Lanchester. "It's time to leave the 'Tweens' behind and take a big step forward! This is her chance."
If she doesn't, Sony Pictures and writer Stieg Larsson may have to settle for a (Carey) Mulligan!
Larsson stated that he may call the Twilight star and tell her more about it.
Meanwhile, Kristen's significant other, Robert Pattinson, has been appointed by President Obama as the nations blood bank czar.
